Managing Assistants
Step-by-step instructions for viewing, creating, editing, and deleting assistants.
Types of Assistants
Assistants in AI-Starter are classified into two categories.
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Official Assistants | Pre-configured assistants included with AI-Starter. Settings can be modified or reset |
| Custom Assistants | Assistants created by administrators. Can also be deleted |
Additionally, assistants serve two purposes: Chat and Use Case.

View the Assistant List
- Click the Assistants card on the admin console home screen.
- The list of registered assistants is displayed.
The following operations are available in the list.
- Filter: Narrow down by All / Enabled / Disabled / Official / Custom / Use Case / Chat
- Search: Search by assistant name or platform
- Enable/Disable toggle: Change the assistant's visibility with the toggle switch
Create an Assistant
- Click the Create New button on the assistant list screen.
- Fill in the fields (see Settings for details).
- Click the Save button.
Note
To create an assistant based on an existing one, use the Duplicate button on the list screen to copy the settings.
Edit an Assistant
- Click the assistant you want to edit from the list.
- Edit the fields and click the Save button.
Note
If you have modified an official assistant's settings, you can use the Reset button to restore it to its default state. Resetting a deprecated official assistant will delete it.
Delete an Assistant
- Click the custom assistant you want to delete from the list.
- Click the Delete button.
- A confirmation dialog appears. Click Delete to confirm.
Caution
Deleting a custom assistant cannot be undone. Official assistants cannot be deleted, but they can be disabled or reset.
