AI-Starter 3.1.0 has been released. This update brings support for the latest models, agent capabilities for Bedrock Claude, and a number of other improvements.

Customizable Source Links for Bedrock Knowledge Base
Workflow-type assistants using Bedrock Knowledge Base can now customize their source reference links. Previously, these links only displayed S3 paths, but you can now specify any URL through metadata. For example, clicking a source reference can navigate to a SharePoint page. See Grounding for details.
Bedrock Claude Now Supports Agent Capabilities
Bedrock Claude models now support agent-like behavior with built-in tools. The following tools are available:
- Current time retrieval — Reference real-time date and time information
- Bedrock Knowledge Base search — Search registered Knowledge Bases for information
- AgentCore Code Interpreter — Process and analyze data

BedrockKnowledgeBase / BedrockClaudeThinking Deprecated
The following Platform Metadata types have been deprecated. Existing assistants will continue to work, but these types are scheduled for removal in a future version.

OpenAI Assistants API Support Removed
Support for the OpenAI Assistants API has been removed. Please use assistants based on the successor OpenAI Responses API going forward. See Platform Metadata for details.
